Pentax Optio VS20 Camera For Landscape and Portrait Photography with Dual Shutter Buttons

Photographs can be taken in either a landscape or portrait orientation, but unfortunately most cameras have been designed with its shutter release button placed in a landscape position, which sometimes makes taking a portrait orientated photo slightly awkward. Now we know it’s not really a big deal but Pentax has decided to address that particular “concern” with their new Optio VS20 point and shoot camera which features a Dual Shutter Buttons

I’m really impressed that not only did Pentax manage to include two shutter buttons on the compact VS20 camera but the camera maker also managed to include a 20x optical zoom lens. Also if you were concerned about how a tripod will work with this camera and it’s two shutter buttons, Pentax has included a second tripod socket that allows you to mount the VS20 in the portrait orientation.

Beyond that unique feature, the new Optio VS20 looks like a standard-issue, fully-automated pocket megazoom camera, with a few good-looking extras: a "Handheld Night Snap" mode that uses exposure bracketing and image stacking to capture low-light images without the flash, and a digital level that appears on the camera's 3-inch LCD screen to help shooters avoid tilted shots.

Although there are some software solutions that can make taking portrait shots unnecessary for most, still being able to take a well framed portrait image is best. Pentax has developed a new digital camera that can provide users of any skill level the opportunity to capture good portrait photographs.
