Moments of Eternity

The photograph is embodied in an act, together with simple and complex: to look. The photographer waiver of the excessive power of desire and dives in hard data. He draws on real using the camera as auxiliary apparatus of the mind, the "third eye". Look at all the small stuff, the most insignificant details, trivial forms of daily, strong equipment that allows him to reshape the eye by adding the minimum of photographic craftsmanship.
The report was the primal myth for every photographer, but today most of us is only the expression of a false self, a game to "do ...", I am now because almost everything has been witnessed and our desire to contribute to the knowledge of the world and its rituals responds to the spirit of emulation rather than actual social vocation. No coincidence that the report - except for special cases - has now been restated as "street photography", ie the representation of everyday life, the occasional, and therefore of our own being dropped in the world. Go away then this enhanced awareness of the need to show themselves and discover their own relationship with the environment, its connotation and its borders through the relationship with things, shapes investigating, interrogating the matter. Find out what areas, if properly observed, may return it to us and tell us in a good aesthetic dimension. A photo can not be considered successful when it shows something more unusual, but when it makes an eternal glimpse of everyday life.

Finding moments of eternity in our everyday life is the most effective defense against the anxiety of death. Not obtained through a frenzied quest for immortality or an illusion of eternal youth, but making a conscious and mature way about the development of our actions and our experiences, including perceptual. Assign the character to a scene of eternal means access to the category of the sublime. "Sublimate" our raw stimuli, whether external or internal, to give them a value of sharing universal, finding in them - even though the minimum and peripheral - a central existential.

All this has to do with beauty. Beauty is a value difficult to identify, impossible to freeze rents within evolving. I have no title for groped to identify or classify these parameters. What I aspire to is a creativity that knows how to keep free within a constellation of rules, who knows how to get away from the aspire to the sublime vulgarity and maintaining a strong internal consistency and an efficient cathartic function. All this has to do with the "beautiful". Not because the aesthetics should replace ethics, but because aistetikòs is what allows us to "feel". The beauty is also in-an-aesthetic vulgarity limits the ability to perceive, does not convey meaning or sense, there where, however, the harmony and elegance are the preferred vehicle of thought.

Moments of eternity are those collected in our old family album, some more noble than the destination for a photograph. Moments of eternity are potentially present in every view. You must have the ability to be - a prerequisite for any photographer - and know how to wait, listening. Sooner or later something happens, the material speaks to us, is configured in a unique harmony and unique, and it is then that the shot can capture the moment, giving him the gift of immortality.
